Our valued client provides information technology solutions for the farming industry. It offers variable rate technology and precision agronomy service for applications in the areas of fertility, seeding, fungicide and top dressing. This company aims to help farmers grow with outcomes that can be measured through its technologies. You will be joining a team of determined and talented developers who values collaboration, challenging themselves, as well as creativity. Our client is looking for an experienced QA Engineer who has experience developing automated test code and processes experience for server-client software products including web and mobile with a strong background in automated E2E testing.

Deliverables:

  • Create a variety of test cases from user stories, use cases and other requirements documents. These will include functional, system, regression and E2E testing.
  • Design, develop and build test automation scripts and code.
  • Support team members in the analysis of issues.
  • Assess and provide input related to test planning during business requirements and design specifications gathering sessions.
  • Identify and communicate test issues and opportunities, and implement process improvement and issue resolution.
  • Report on the outcome of each test cycle.
  • Track test results, statistics, metrics and status.
  • Attend necessary meetings to provide status updates.
  • Ensure quality of software prior to deployment.

Skills and Requirements

Must have skills

  • Have over 3+ years of experience in automated application testing on software development projects including server-client architectures, web and mobile.
  • Very familiar with Build and Automation tools (Jenkins, Puppet, Selenium, Microsoft Visual Studio Test, Swagger etc.)
  • Very familiar with QA Methodology and Software development life cycle methodology and TDD.
  • Have experience deriving test cases and test plans from use cases, user stories, non-functional requirements and design documents.
  • Have experience with API and data-driven testing.
  • Have experience building testing frameworks, and in creating, executing regression, integration and system test plans.
  • Have experience with CI/CD.
  • Proficient with Javascript, as well as SQL.
  • Have experience with test case management tools, including Visual Studio Test, ADO.
  • Have experience with Git.
  • Be well organized, superior attention to detail.
  • Have a strong desire to learn and improve skill set.
  • Have a Degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Testing or a related field.
  • Expertise testing in agile software development projects.

Nice to have

  • Have NET Core and C# experience.
  • Have experience with Azure DevOps and Visual Studio.
  • Experience with other testing tools for product support testing.
  • Have experience within Automated tests of Angular and React SPAs.
