Job Description:
- Administer compensation and performance management systems, as well as safety and recreation programs.
- Full-cycle Recruitment
- Prepare employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs.
- Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, and opportunities for promotion.
- Manage the process and implementation of payroll for agency workers and employee incentives.
- Perform different staffing duties, including but not limited to dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, termination, and administering disciplinary procedures.
- Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
- Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
- Maintain employee records in an orderly manner.
- Prepare or amend HR documents (i.e. employment contracts, training guides, etc.)
- Report HR metrics (i.e. company turnover)
- Keep track of departmental performance metrics
- Be the first point of contact for employees on any HR queries
- Perform other duties as required.
Skills and Requirements
- The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Human Resources role is required.
- Fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin) is an asset.
- Good knowledge of Canadian labour law
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Candidate must be willing to be hands-on with staff and operations and possess good interpersonal skills
